Join EWB
If the vision of EWB sounds appealing to you and you'd like to join EWB or become more involved with its work, there are a number of ways to do this, whatever your desired levels of time commitment and involvement are.
Mailing list
If you'd like to receive updates on the events and opportunities our branch offers, you can join the EWB-Oxford mailing list. Your email address will not be forwarded to anyone outside of EWB-Oxford, and you can unsubscribe at any time by either visiting our GroupSpaces page or clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any of the emails you receive.
Facebook group
If you have a Facebook account, you can join our Facebook group to stay in touch as well as network with other EWBers. You can also check out the EWB-Oxford RSS news feed for the latest information on what's going on.
Committee involvement
If you want to get more deeply involved with EWB, you can join the branch committee. There are a whole range of programme areas within EWB, so positions can usually be created on a case-by-case basis and tailored to what you're interested in.
Committee-level positions usually require a higher degree of involvement in organising events and helping manage of the branch, and some positions (e.g. president, treasurer, secretary) come with duties described in the constitution. However, if you're really interested in what EWB does, committee-level involvement is an extremely rewarding experience and will generally give you much more scope to get involved on a national scale.
For more information on joining the committee, please get in touch with any of the executive committee members or email .
National involvement
If you would like to be involved with the national EWB organisation (EWB-UK), there is a lot of scope to do so. EWB-UK's website contains much more information on national involvement. The EWB-Oxford committee may also be able to provide you with more information about involvement at this level, since some of them may also be involved in national teams (including the national executive and the board of trustees of EWB-UK).
Some of the programmes, events, and positions offered by EWB-UK do not require any specific level of involvement at the branch level. These include placements and bursaries (anyone may apply for these), as well as most training courses and events. Much more information on national involvement in EWB-UK is available here.
